Through Veneto, Lombardia, Marche and Rome, the documentary follows the steps of one of the most unsettling Renaissance artists; we travel to cities and small villages, churches and basilicas, chapels and museums, tracing the artists’ artistic career from his debut in the Veneto region to the altarpieces in the churches in Bergamo, from The Annunciation in Recanati to the late works housed in Loreto, where the artist died in 1556. Antonio Paolucci, director of the Vatican Museums, guides us among paintings, portraits and altarpieces, telling the secrets of the painting of one the protagonists of the Italian Renaissance.
