PIETRO AND BEA ON THE VIA FRANCIGENA

Two children, Pietro and Beatrice, accompanied by a magic and mischievous cat, cross northern Lazio, travelling from the border with Tuscany to Rome. They walk along the last stretch of the Via Francigena, the road that pilgrims and merchants travelled along in the Middle Ages, a road that connected Rome to northern Europe. An extraordinary animated trip: small villages, castles and ancient abbeys, we travel to the places where Sigerico stopped, the mythical archbishop of Canterbury, in the year 990 AD. A narration for the young ones of stories and legends from a fascinating territory, set in a particularly evocative scenery.
